SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES

Collaboration for Dynamic Resource management has become a necessity in emerging networks (e.g., mobile ad hoc networks and mobile P2P networks) to address fragile wireless connections and devices with very limited capacity. Moreover, traditional methods of collaborative resource management in mobile environments generally consider only single-hop client-server communication. On the other hand, in mobile ad hoc networks and in mobile P2P networks, the network communication is multi-hop. Due to the dynamic nature of moving hosts, network topology changes very often. Consequently, traditional resource management schemes are not adequate for the purpose of providing services and maintaining availability. Most mobile technologies physically support broadcast data management mechanisms and a node can take advantage of a push paradigm to disseminate information to all mobile clients in its cell. However, nodes have limited battery power, which needs to be preserved and therefore, they need to collaborate for services such as routing and data delivery. A push based paradigm may be suitable for store/forward nature of the communication and again nodes need to collaborate for data dissemination services. Furthermore, in mobile P2P networks, economic models may play a better role in incentivizing peers to collaborate for service discovery and data management.

This special session is inviting papers on above and related topics.

The Special Session topics include (but are not limited to) the following:

    • Crowd Sourcing in Mobile Networks

    • Bandwidth and Memory as Collaborative Resource Management Issue in Emerging Networks

    • Data Management in Mobile Cloud

    • Content Dissemination and Routing in Vehicular Networks

    • Collaboration for Routing and Replication/Caching in Mobile P2P

    • Economic Models for Collaborative Resource Management in Mobile P2P

    • Privacy Preserving Service Discovery in a Collaborative Mobile P2P Networks

    • Collaboration for Constrained Query Processing in Mobile P2P Networks

    • Trust and Security for Collaboration in Mobile P2P Networks

PAPER SUBMISSION

You are invited to submit original and unpublished research works on above and other topics related to Collaboration for dynamic resource management in mobile P2P networks and related topics. Submitted papers must not have been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Submission should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, and email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the corresponding author and include up to 6 keywords from the above list of topics and an abstract of no more than 400 words. The full manuscript should be at most 8 pages using the two-column IEEE format. Additional pages will be charged at additional fee. Short papers (up to 4 pages), poster papers and poster (please refer to http://cts2013.cisedu.info/home/posters for the posters submission details) will also be accepted for submission. In case of multiple authors, an indication of which author is responsible for correspondence must be indicated. Please include page numbers on all preliminary submissions to make it easier for reviewers to provide helpful comments.

Submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript via email to the special session organizers at madrias@mst.edu and Mark.Linderman@rl.af.mil .

Only PDF files will be accepted, sent by email to the Special Session organizers. Each paper will receive a minimum of three reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, relevance, contributions, technical clarity and presentation. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper, if accepted. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers will be registered and presented at the conference.

Accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings. Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be posted on the CTS 2013 web site. It is our intent to have the proceedings formally published in hard and soft copies and be available at the time of the conference. The proceedings is projected to be included in the IEEE Digital Library and indexed by major indexing services accordingly.

If you have any questions about paper submission or the workshop, please contact the Special Session organizers.
