Join us for shopping and dining in Historic Old Town San Diego. This uniquely Californian town offers visitors a chance to step back in time to the nineteenth century. Old Town San Diego, the first European settlement in what is now California is often called the state's birthplace. In 1769, Catholic priest Father Junipero Serra founded California's first Spanish mission here. The mission eventually moved further inland and 1820s settlers moved closer to the water into the Gaslamp Quarter, leaving "Old Town" behind.

Today's Old Town San Diego centers on the oldest area of the first settlement. It includes a state historic park and related historic sites outside the park.

This is THE place to do your souvenir shopping.

We will explore the wide variety of shops, many in old historic buildings and then we will dine at Café Coyote, voted Best Mexican Restaurant 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012. For more information, please see http://www.cafecoyoteoldtown.com/ and http://www.oldtownsandiegoguide.com/ .
